Corporate social responsibility

Thank you for showing an interest in Basket Brigade as a possible place to send your employees as part of your CSR programme. We couldn’t think of a better place than BB UK, where we give love and hope to thousands of people every Christmas (well, we would say that wouldn’t we!).

Basket Brigade UK provides any business with a unique opportunity to subtly support the cause whilst giving their team a great chance to develop their working skills.

Most of us like to ‘give back’, to help in some way, those in less fortunate positions. And that’s exactly what we do every Christmas.

How do we do that?

On 23 Dec between 400-800 get together at Woodside School in Tottenham to spend a day building baskets of food, love and hope before delivering them into the local communities all around London.

It is a joyous day knowing that you are helping over 5000 people have a wonderful Christmas dinner, a dinner that they might not have been able to afford due to their circumstances.

Every volunteer goes home feeling very fulfilled and happy at what they have just done. Tired also because there’s lots of dancing and fun too!

How you can help as event volunteers

By choosing to support Basket Brigade UK, you’ll have the opportunity to send a team of up to 10 volunteers from your company. Your employees can all be in the same team, creating a great opportunity to work together.

During the event, photographs will taken of your team by our photographer in front of the main stage. These photos will be sent to you for your own use, whether it be for external marketing, PR or internal communications.

Here’s what Roz from CC Construction had to say.

“Being part of the Basket Brigade had a profound impact on our family. Coming from South Africa, we’ve seen poverty up close, something that isn’t always visible in the UK, so taking part in such a meaningful act of giving felt especially powerful.

On Christmas morning, my children were deeply grateful, recognising how blessed they were and reflecting on how different the day might look for many families. They’ve asked to return this year, proud and thankful to play even a small part in giving back!”

How you can help as event crew

If your team would like to step up one more notch, why not be part of our event crew and develop their leadership skills? Surrounded by experienced leaders they’ll be given guidance and mentoring on leading a team of volunteers to help develop their leadership skills.

You will also get a ‘Thank you’ across our Social Media with @ or # of your company in January. As well as your company name on ‘Thank you’ emails to over 3000 people. That’s a lot of reach.

Thank you

Whatever you choose, we’ll be so grateful, as will those thousands of people we give food, love and hope to.
