Basket Brigade UK is a loving, charitable organisation who deliver baskets of food (and love) on December 23rd every year to those who could really do with a helping hand at this time of year.

Karl and the YES Group created the UK version of Basked Brigade after attending a Tony Robbins event 30 years ago. From feeding two families in a poor neighbourhood when he was 17, Tony Robbins, year on year, fed more and more families (with the help of friends and family) and now this event feeds approximately 3 million people worldwide!

Tony’s experience at a young age that ‘strangers care’ has impacted millions and millions of people and continues to do so. To receive a basket of food (and love) at a time when life isn’t your best friend, from complete strangers, is something that is life changing.

It’s built on a simple notion: one small act of generosity on the part of one caring person can transform the lives of hundreds. And thousands of us have witnessed that over the last 25 years.

The day itself, December 23rd, is like no other. Hundreds and hundreds of people (usually about 700) come together for one day and help create about 1500 baskets of food (and love) which they later deliver to those in need. It is a hard working but FUN day and it is so rewarding to those who volunteer.

Those who give their time for this day will tell you just how much they get back. Often just seeing the faces of the recipients when they open their door to a basket of food, is beautiful.
